From that Fine Gael leaflet on Nice:
'Yes would mean real equality between member states. Every country large and small will have exactly the same right to an EU Commissioner for the first time.'
Who reading that would think Nice actually meant losing our automatic right to a Commissioner as is now claimed by Yes supporters?
And they expect people to trust them again?
That's one way of putting it I suppose.Yes means we can travel to work in 10 more countries
interesting to note that in the what a NO would mean section references the same scaremongering nonsense thats being shovled at us now.
"door to the dark" indeed.
the effects of nice, and the lies peddled about it by the big 3, are a major reason lisbon failed and will fail again
had to laugh at the bit about being able to spend our euros in 10 mores countries with out exchange charges. last i checked most of the10 still have their own currencies.
must be news to poland
the bit about our voting strength brought a smile too.
lisbon would seem to have something to say about our voting strength in relation to germanys

Now that's *exactly* the same as every No to Lisbon argument.
Especially the "If we vote Yes we lose out on...".
And it was all rubbish of course.
Since our yes the government has retained full control of our currency and interest rates.
We have full employment, more farmers, no emigration and no cutbacks.
The idea of a European Common Defence was shelved.
The reaction in the EU to our No to Lisbon shows us that we do indeed have a say in Europe.
