How so? Vote against Lisbon and we could kill NAMA, because Europe might not stump up the funny-money to fund it after a No vote.

So We The People could stop the loony neo-imperial fevered dreams of the "ever closer union" nutters, stop NAMA, stop this Government in its tracks, critically undermine Clowen, stop the delusional economy-wrecking "thinking" of the debtmonkeys in charge, and force the nation and indeed all of Europe to stop living in a fantasy world of funny money and get to grips with the really real world.

I'm not seeing a downside here.

Paragraph 7 also allows the govt to surrender our optout protocol on justice and home affairs (Protocol 21/Protocol on the Position of the UK and Ireland with respect to the European Area of Justice and Freedom). This will definitely end any doubt that the ECJ will be enabled to interpret the Charter of Fundamental Rights to dictate our asylum policy. Article 15 of the Charter states that 'everyone has the right to work in a freely chosen occupation'. This will lead to Ireland being forced to allow asylum seekers to work - making us the only English speaking country in the EU to allow them to work. This will lead to a huge influx of UK-resident illegals into Ireland. This is the same conjob as Nice. We would only (to borrow Cooper's terminology) cut off our nose despite our face, as Irish jobs would be lost - ironically despite us voting the opposite to what the elites say is necessary to save Irish jobs. This issue is so crucial that it is crucial that the no voters explain to the people the dangers of a yes vote. I personally intend going on the radio over this if the polls indicate a yes victory. The Irish people will not vote for this Treaty if properly informed, which they were last year thanks to the no campaigners.
    Pure Trash. All of it.

Voting no to Lisbon will do nothing to stop NAMA. It will do nothing to get FF out of power, the opposition appear to not want power at the moment. Some people appear to belive voting no to Lisbon is like sending a letter to Santa. Grow up.

Which should tell you something. Only fantasies have no downsides.

You think this government could stand another defeat at the polls?

Your just being ridiculous now, you probably know that yourself. Voting no to Lisbon won't stop NAMA. You want to stop NAMA? Lobby the FF backbenchers, indos etc. Use your intelligence man. Maybe try "thinking".
