Irish Times hits rock bottom: digs

Have these people no shame. Today the Irish Times has printed
a letter from a 17 year old girl, who calls for a NO vote.
Who is behind this apalling abuse? I suspect that Declan
Ganley has something to answer for.

    What abuse?
There was a similar thread about a young person advocating a yes vote.
Denying young people a voice and a platform to air their views would in my book be more akin to abuse of power.

Dammit, now I'm looking for an excuse for a thread entitled "Irish Times hits Australia, explodes".

JESUS MOSS... I put a wee leering icon beside the post to indicate that I was taking the piss out of the very article you're talking about. That was a hint !!!!

You're taking the piss out of a youth having a platform for a yes vote then ?
Do you have a problem with young people expressing their views ?

I'll spell it out for you. The previous YES girl was subjected to all sorts of stuff. So was the Times.

SOOOOOOOOOOO I took it upon myself to write a funny ( sorry ) post . Just for a laugh.

Thank fu*k I wasn't born in the Glens. It must be a humourless existance.

    Goodnight/morning.

P.S. I put the / morning in there just so's there wouldnt be misunderstanding.

    Glens??????? I think you're confused.

If it's a joke why is it not in the humour forum ?

Again you fail to answer any of my points. No surprise really.

    Glens thing was error.

It's a pisstake on a previous po-faced Lisbon thread post.

You didn't make any points for me to answer. The point about young people and their right to an opinion DOES NOT APPLY since that was not anything to do my post.

This was a letter which this girl freely sent to the IT. The 16 year old advocating a YES vote was an op-ed space to do so. Big difference. By the way the letter today from the 17 year pointed out that in spite of being given an op-ed space to extol the virtues of Lisbon her fellow school girl couldn't highlight one area in Lisbon that would benefit the citizenry.
