If there is anything false or deliberately misleading on these, I want to know what legal remedy we have against Micheál Martin in this case?
Surely, we must have some way to tackle this sort of behaviour? If not, why not?
I am of the opinion that to send out any information that will lead to people voting in a certain way is a massive crime and at the most basic level, treachery to the people of Ireland. But will anything come of it?
This is most disturbing indeed.
If I could mass-sterilise the planet, I would. Seriously.

It doesn't matter, at least not to me, whether the information is accurate and truthful; if it is, that's a nice surprise. What really matters is that public money is being spent on one side of the argument.
The government of the day must be free to have its own point of view, and for this to be reflected in the outlook and output of the Department of Foreign Affairs. But a line is crossed when, with a referendum coming down the tracks, voters are fed one-sided material paid for by public funds.
The f--kers must think we're so paralysed by the state of the economy that they can roll back all that has been achieved in keeping the government honest. The Constitution contains the fundamental rules of the game, and if we allow the government to use our own money to campaign on how to change that document, we will be sailing in even murkier and more dangerous waters than we are already.
Also, just to get it off my chest for the nth time, how can the Greens live with this? For their next surprise, will they be giving the thumbs-up to nuclear power?
