Would you vote Yes if there was a General Election on same day?

This has kinda come up on another thread, and think it deserves a thread on its own. Maybe we can have a poll?

Basically, while not a fan of the treaty, I would consider voting yes if we had a GE on the same day as the vote. If there is no GE before then, there is not a hope in hell of me voting Yes.

    Words fail me....

Will you please explain what kind of deluded logic brought you to this conclusion?

but can you not see they are unrelated and by trying to associate them you only cloud the issue of lisbon, vote, yes , no or abstain on the merits of lisbon not on how you feel about the government........ to do otherwise is just illogical

So you'll vote for another Yes party that might form a government - or a No party that won't? What's the logic?

As I said, I dont understand the treaty. If FF were interested in the country they would have a GE on the same day. I'm sure others must agree?

Well, if there is a GE I am going to try and understand the treaty again this time round. No GE, then I def stick with No. This came up on another thread, so wanted to get more opinions on it.

so you'd vote yes if there were a GE that FG would most probably win, but without a GE you'd vote no even though FG have clearly stated they support a yes vote regardless of who is in government ?

really what kinda of reason is that to vote one way or the other.....
any i wonder why people acuse me of being a snob or elitist when i say that people should have to pass a test / have a certain amount of intelligence before being allowed to vote

But... but... FF are not interested in the country. Nobody, save FF, believes that they are. FF are interested in staying in Government. Why in the name of God would they call a ganeral election?

But what this has to do with Lisbon and voting yes or no is still beyond me.
