You say NO because so called heroes fought for the independence of Ireland from England but the only people "fighting" for the Irish no vote in the EU was British politians???? - surely you must see that your views are skewed and voting NO is merely a disruptive gesture to the inevitable.....with or without Ireland

Basicly, I am saying to get real and stop holding up a process that will happen either way...the only reason Ireland has a vote on this is because of some outdated constitution...one which will be amended quite soon I would imagine..and look how we messed it up simply by having an inferiority complex to larger countries in Europe.....the laughing stock of the new Europe because of WHAT? - THE INABILITY TO UNDERSTAND A SIMPLE TREATY????? COME ON GUYS....WTF

Lets try keep the thread relevant, now that you are running out of reasons to vote no, your reasoning becomes jibberish and your ignorance is on show for all to see...just reside to the fact that a YES vote will be passed...Europe wants us to vote YES - they are investing millions into the YES campaign for the second Lisbon vote, surely that demonstrates that we are important to them...and they respect our values....they have also given us a promise that what we want changed in the Lisbon treaty has been changed...so whats the problem here? I am really failing to understand why people are suggesting a NO vote again????

You need to vote YES for the nice treaty or Europe will abandon us and we will return to poverty as a standard, voting no is NOT an option now. Regardless of the contents of the Nice treaty, we really do not have an option and need to reside that we are now ruled by a greater power which knows the best way forward for Ireland and Europe. You will also see that Europe have reached a point of fustration with Ireland and will not stand for our ignorance in understanding the second Nice treaty again. The onus is on us as a nation to catch up with the Europeans and try to adopt a more submissive approach to Europe. Forget about military and abortion issues, these will be implemented with or without the Nice Treaty - understand now, that regardless of what the rebels (Libertas/SF etc) try to communicate, Europe has invested millions in us and we owe them a YES vote. VOTE YES OR SEE OUR COUNTRY DESTROYED BY POVERTY AND ALIENATION FROM THE NEW EUROPE SUPERPOWER.
