Perhaps a more interesting poll would be if you would vote differently.

Vote Yes when you voted No last time.
Vote No when you voted Yes last time.
Vote Yes/No when you didn't vote last time.
Not vote when you voted Yes/No last time.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.................. ...

and NO again if needs be till they get the message.

Reading the text of the conclusions reached by the European Council yesterday it states:

The Protocol will clarify but not change either the content or the application of the Treaty of Lisbon.

    In other words No Change.

We are voting on the exact same Treaty as last time.

Cowen does not respect the Democratic message of the Electorate.

If he had returned from the meeting with even some minor changes to the Treaty then he would have had at least a fig leaf of decency to cover his embarrassment.

But he stands before us now holding nothing but a copy of this wretched document to hide his shame....

Maybe Bertie will loan him one of his Tracksuits...?

No true democrat could feel at ease with how the EU has managed its latest Treaty. France and Holland vote No to the Constitution. The Constitution is then re-packaged as a Treaty (thus by-passing a second referendum in both countries). Ireland was the only country whose constitution offered us a chance to vote. We said No. We are being asked again to get the right answer. This is simply wrong. Does anybody feel at ease with this? Oh, I know there are legal reasons behind the scenario set out above. But the beauty of democracy is in its simplicity - one man, one vote, majority wins.

Democracy should not need teams of lawyers and bureaucrats finding loopholes and work-arounds. Should it?
    Good post.

The so-called guarantees have nothing to do with why I voted no last time.

I also believe that we would not have experienced the catastrophic property bubble if we were not part of the Euro and had retained our independence to set interest rates. We can put all the blame on developers and bankers if we want but they play on the field that is put in front of them.

Look at how Britain is so much more in control of its interests than we are. We made a political decision to join the Euro, they made an economic decision not to join.

NO. Lisbon is Fraud masquerading as "strengthening Europe to deal with Climate Change and threat of terrorism" -to quote from Micheal himself.

Strengthening Europe means forced Carbon Taxes like it or not.
Cowardice asks the question - is it safe? Expediency asks the question - is it politic?
Vanity asks the question - is it popular? But Conscience asks the question - is it right?
And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular;but one must take it simply because it is right. -MLK

    No means No.
An awful lot of water has passed under the bridge since we last voted.
We need a new deal for new times.
The Lisbon treaty is outdated and stale .

Article 29 simply affirms Ireland's opportunity to adhere to international law and to join international organisations for the betterment of external relations.

The provision of which you speak (29.4.10) sets out to ensure that the Constitution and EU law don't clash. Such a clash would undermine the Constitution to a much greater extent. Where exactly does it state that the Constitution takes second place?

Either you have a poor understanding of the law or you're trying to manipulate it to peddle your own beliefs. Either way it doesn't stand up.
Talk about tainting! Read my post again. I am referring to the paragraph 11 proposed last time (and presumably next time) not the existing 29.4.10.

Read it again. If you read it you would see that it expressely states that nothing in our constitution can prevent laws enacted by the EU from having the force of law. That's what "second place" means.
