But weren't the urban areas more disposed to the yes side than the no side in the referendum?

No, it depends on which ones. Some urban areas had a very high No vote, others a very high Yes vote. So, assuming that this poll wasn't weighted into a national quota sample (a safe assumption, given that no rural areas were polled), you can see how easy it is for a group to carry out such a poll in a manner that fits their own agenda. For example - if you want a poll that shows a high Yes vote, you poll the Dundrum Shopping Centre on a Saturday afternoon. If you want a high No vote, you poll the Square, Tallaght.

That's why the only relevant polls are those weighted into a national quota sample.

Certainly not in Cork and Limerick

Cork South Central and Limerick East were slightly higher than the national average for the No vote.

Cork North Central has the second highest No vote in the country at 64.4%

Ad hominem! Data is data. All no voters agree that the Lisbon Treaty is a bad deal for Ireland and Europe and should be scrapped.

And I think Dublin South-West had the highest.

Not sure about that. Will inquire.

If Libertas or whoever now have the wit to concentrate on the sheer cost of a re-run, the numbers opposed will go way over this.

Don't worry - of "blood, toil, tears and sweat", I think you'll find only the last is required - and not even that if you walk slowly to the polling station.
