The treaty could easily be passed with just a few tweaks here and there...as follows - 27 commissioners, guarantee in law for Irish neutrality and the abortion issue and Ireland's corporate tax rate. They need not dispel the bulk of the neo liberal agenda nor their great plan for the militarisation of the continent. If this bullying continues from Europe there will be a no campaign that the size of which they couldn't imagine next time round, if there's one thing to raise Irish blood pressure it's when someone tries to push us around, democracy my h***. Europe should heed Ireland's warning.
Noises coming from Germany suggest a commissioner for everyone in the audience and declarations on tax veto, abortion and neutrality for those who did not believe the yes side first time around.

You agree that will be sufficient for Lisbon 2.
What a cop out, easy to make declarations about abortion and tax when nobody gave a crap about them[/quote:205piyog]

Untrue: polls show that abortion, conscription, tax and the commissioner were the key worries of a large minority.

Don't know if it has been mentioned but the majority of European who voted on the Lisbon Treaty voted No. Ireland 800,00 approx, Ireland Yes 700,00. Throw in another 30,000 Yes to represent the parliaments of EU. Thats give the No side a clear winnin majority of 70,000. Sounds like the Eurocrats are having a dose of the Hiliary chief symptom attempting to change the rules after the game has begun.
