Most people are n't even aware about the vast changes in the areas of justice that Lisbon introduces.
I think RTE's Sean Whelan has been incredibly biased in this campaign but I agree with him in one thing.
That the area in which monumental change is introduced - policing, asylum, immigration, justice -
has been little debated in this referendum.
Most people don't even know that changes they are being asked to vote on in this area at least.
HOw could they - It hasn't been debated.
If they don't know about they changes being introduced. Then why consent to something they don't know or understand?
Brings up the question: Would you sign a contract you don't understand?
If no then vote NO.
Ask yourself - what changes will LIsbon bring to Justice and Home Affairs not only in Ireland but across the EU?
If you can't answer it - you don't understand the changes in Lisbon and I believe do the decent thing and vote this treaty down.
cf RTE:
Justice and Home Affairs is one of the few areas in which the Treaty would bring about really big changes.

Sean Whelan reports on the Lisbon Treaty in relation to crime fighting and immigration control.
Lisbon art 2
