The No side is largely dominated by Libertas, a non populist group funded secretly, and Sinn Féin, a somewhat socialiat party. I would not allign myself with either of these groups. Personally, I am against the treaty for globalisation, rampant capitalism and corporatism. Joe Higgins does a good job at outlining the Lisbon Treaty in a socialist paradigm, which has been sorely missing.

Oh dear. Darren why don't you come along to the next public meeting hosted by the Socialist Party and you make your points directly to the speakers. As has been mentioned numerous times to you by other posters if anyone wants to know what the party stands for they can go to out website.

Joe Higgins is a great man, a fantastic activist a genuine socialist and incidentally, great craic too. I had a few pints with him a few months back in UL. I find his and his parties views on the national question to be a little naive to say the least, but on economic issues he is spot on.

You were in SF? Well he wouldn't have had "great craic" with you if he thought that you were in SF. He doesn't have any craic with anyone except his own members, voters and the average neutral 'Joe'. Of course his speeches can be funny but they are appealing to the general public not the individual members of the Dáil for example (when he was a TD).
The SP are more sectarian than SF. At least SF will happily go into coalition govt. The SP wouldn't.
