It has to be simple and short.

Can be moved to another thread that is suitable.
It's one of a series of steps towards a political entity or 'Super-state', an incremental process through which the idealist 'supranational' process might be realised. It's about a longer-term project than the specific provisions of this stage. It's insane.

This treaty looks like one of those complicated credit card agreements that you can never read but that lock you into a contract that has surprising consequences. The whole notion fo caveat emptor applies.

The idea of a streamlined Europe is a good one to me but I believe that there are critical flaws in the approach taken in this effort. If the European project is inevitably drifting towards a defacto federal state then the governing document should be intelligible to the general public.

I remind you that this minister will play a leading role in the next few months, since France will have the EU presidency.

One No was never going to be enough for some people pushing Lisbon.

Thanks to arnaud, we know that three days before our vote last year, the French Foreign Minister said if we voted No he would want us to vote again.
