A Lie too far from the No Campaign.

Came out of Mass this morning and a No campaigner had "No to Lisbon Abortion" (I honestly can't remember the exact quote, but that was the gist) and it just drove me mad.
    1. Does she assume that because I am a practicsing Catholic that I won't have read the treaty?
    2. Where on earth is there any link between the treaty and abortion?

I know Libertas and some groups will dissociate themselves from this woman and dismiss her as a right wing zealot, but I can't help but think about the other things I have heard and seen: Militarisation, Neutrality, Sovereignty, sending our boys off to war, tax vetos etc. At some stage someone in intellectual side of the No campaign is going to have to say that these are lies! Why don't they chastise SF, YD and others?

I have found that there are three types of No people.

    1. Sovereignty No People, like Sinn Fein and the anti-war people (ironic or what?).
Sometimes have good arguments, sometimes have bad.

    2. Veto No People, like Libertas. Speculative a lot of the time, but have good points on occasion.

    3. Crazy No People. Basically blowing smoke up all our arses about abortion, paedophilia and other extremist BS.
These people make the groups with genuine concerns look idiotic, and frankly, they should be quickly countered for their own good.

Sometimes people are a mix of any or all of those three.
The most amusing No people are by far the 1+2+3 people.

Of course, there are similar types of Yes people...
