Riker placed an article on British-owned newspapers telling us to vote no. In fact the Irish Sun is owned by Rupert Murdoch who is Australian.
The real British-owned papers want us to vote yes. The Irish Daily Mirror is British owned, while the Irish Star is part owned by Associated Newspapers.
Clearly, there is a strong wish by the British authorities for a yes vote so that CCCTB can be introduced under Enhanced Cooperation, copperfastening by Article 113 and Article 48. That will force companies exporting to the UK from Ireland to pay destination-taxes to the British government. Alistair Darling, the British Chancellor of the Exchequer, says he wants to crack down on 'tax havens' like Ireland luring investment away.
Vote no to Lisbon, No to harmonised taxes, and no to British bullying!
