How can anybody vote on Lisbon?

How is the average Iish person to Vote on the Lisbon treaty? Not adequately understanding the treaty, would indeed, be a sufficent reason to vote No. People cannot be expect to give there assent to something thay do not understand properly. While a Yes vote would, in effect, be irreversible, a No vote would still laeve options open.

The Irish people should not allow themselve to feel intimidated by the fact that thay are the only ones due to vote on the referendum.

    Vote No
Time for the Irish Goverment to do the honorable thing and go. If thay have any honour left.

Yeah, that's a really powerful message for a small, open economy to send out into the globalised world.

"We're voting No because we don't understand the question."

Another powerful message is that will not veto anything agreed in the EU as it would be embarrassing.

Well, no, not really. Not knowing justifies two things: a) finding out or b) not voting. Ignorance isn't a good base to make a choice from.

No, we shouldn't answer it. Or, we should go and figure it out. It's not that hard.
