Czechs preparing Plan B

If we voted no, according to Mark Mardell (BBC reporter)'s blog. This shows the yes side are not being straight with the people when denying it exists. It shows a better deal is possible if we voe no. So fear not. You can vote no and get a better deal.

Don't believe politicians who say there is no plan "B" if Ireland votes No to the Lisbon Treaty. There is, and it is being kept under wraps in Prague.

The Czechs take over the rolling European Union presidency on 1 January 2009 - the very date that the Lisbon Treaty is due to come into effect. Depending on the result of the Irish referendum on 12 June, they could survey two very different scenarios.

It's not a plan B they are jsut saying how the will run the presidency if lisbon doesn't come in to force. Plan B would be a comprehensive settlement on the Institutions, democratic life of the union etc. but if Lisbon is rejected these meetings will continue to be behind closed doors...a great victory for democracy
