Since when does the view of an organisation that does not accept the legitimacy of the Irish state matter? If they don't accept its legitimacy, how can they have a view over what international treaties it should or should not sign? Or is it just a case that they are admitting their recognition or otherwise of the state is not worth a hill of beans, and they are trying to get involved in some real politics for a change? :P

Read the documents and you will get your answer regarding legitimacy, that is the thrust of the campaign, however if you couldn't be bothered to read them best not comment.

It's essentially a sovereignty argument, though. If I wanted to live in a world of competing nation-states, I might go for it. I don't, though, because the history of competing nation-states is littered with millions of corpses. That's without even considering the lunacy of a small island nation pushing for such a system, under which it never prospered.

    Another misleading thread title.

It should read: "Fringe group that refuses to recognise state objects to Lisbon Treaty".

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha, you are a funny boy and no mistake. It is not a misleading title, it is exactly what it is.

Actually maybe it should read "Fringe group heavily inflitrated by MI5 objects to Lisbon Treaty". My apologies.
