Bertie Ahern 4-6 days in Tribunal before referendum: RTE

According to the News at One Bertie will have 4, 5 or 6 days of evidence to give to the Tribunal in late May/early June - prior to the referendum. They also speculated on to what extent he will campaign in the referendum.
I wonder as Bertie's evidence comes out who exactly is going to look like the loolah!

Its good news for the NO camp if true - it will mean the Yesmen will have their best advocate tied up in knots when they need him most.

Or 1 day if he'd actually answer the questions!

I noticed in the same interview he reckoned that the money spent on the tribunal is a bigger story than his dodgy finances. He most be smoking some very decent herb, would love to get my hands on some of it...........

Do you think that hundreds of millions of taxpayers money being given to lawyers, barristers and judges is a big issue?

I also believe that Berties financial mis-management is an important issue, don't get me wrong, your comment seemed to suggest that you have no problem with the likes of Des O'Neill being grossly overpaid out of our taxes, thats all.

Reckon this is a spoof story, nothing on Mahon website and they have been trying for weeks to agree dates with him and Bertie will not move an inch until the HC verdict is out.
Story is just more spin related to the man's self-importance.

Are you forgetting that it was Bertie Ahern that decided what to pay them....
    to change Ireland from a dependent to a self-reliant society — from a give-it-to-me, to a do-it-yourself nation. A get-up-and-go, instead of a sit-back-and-wait-for-it ireland

I have no problem paying them, they are doing a very difficult job. If certain people came clean and told the truth then the tribunal would not be going on for so long. This money will be recovered when the cab moves in to take the assets gained through corruption.

    Who set their fees?

Oh yeah. Bertie! Him and his ministers.
