    Anybody there? How'd it go?
    Every one sees what you appear to be, few really know what you are, and those few dare not oppose themselves to the opinion of the many, who have the majesty of the state to defend them.

    I would have though this would be the preserve of Brendan Flynn, the European Politics lecturer. But I suppose O'Connell's occasional appearances on Q&A should at least make him knowledgeable on how not to chair a discussion.

    Brendan is doing a talk with Fine Gael on the 29th of this month in the Menlo Hotel. It is worth going to. The man is an excellent politico. I've been to his lectures and they were riveting. I'll be going.

    both donnacha and brendan are excellent lecturers;
    i'm surprised donnacha chaired an arts faculty debate, as he appears to be a member of the group of law lecturers who don't take kindly to arts students being allowed to study law

    That's nothing. To the IT students, anybody who uses Kirwan is scum.

    I'm not very familliar with Donnacha. Law never interested me. But yeah, the Brendan Flynn talk will be the best talk given during the debate. Even if it is for the yes side...
