    Lisbon Treaty Moderation

    Guys,

A new moderation group, specifically called the Lisbon Treaty Moderation group has been setup, individuals on Politics.ie are invited to put themselves forward as potential moderators of this section of the site.

As I'm heading up a campaign group against the treaty, I don't think I should have moderator powers in the Lisbon section (although I would insist I have never abused that power).

Anyways, I've asked Stringjack (and he's agreed) to be group leader, anyone who wishes to join this moderation group should post here, and he can work out how to bring people onto the team, I'll also let him set the criteria of how users are selected etc. etc.

May I please put myself forward for a modship?
Every one sees what you appear to be, few really know what you are, and those few dare not oppose themselves to the opinion of the many, who have the majesty of the state to defend them.

The word 'politics' is derived from the word 'poly', meaning 'many', and the word 'ticks', meaning 'blood sucking parasites

but if something libellous or otherwise important came up im sure you would use your admin access to deal with it, as other mods might not be on at the time? atleast i hope and presume you would.

Looks like we'll have to get the old mod training shed out of storage.

'Edits' to any discussion are now clearly marked by the user who made the edit.

I would very much hope never to have to moderate the Lisbon section until after the referendum, I believe I have acted fairly in the past, but it's the appearance of being compromised/biased which needs to be addressed.

I've full confidence in stringjack and his ability to get a team of good mods together that will be balanced and fair. Current Content Team members incidentally will also have to apply to be considered (or stringy can approach specific people - whatever he likes).
