I am posting this to let the world know that i am leaving p.ie because it is now a libertas website.

I don't suppose anyone cares i am a rare poster but still i felt i should say this.
I take pleasure in the bad reputation I've gotten round these parts.

We need to radically change every system that has enabled the wholesale destruction of the Irish landscape, rural and urban. There is no time for incremental step by step measures. The systems have failed utterly and the only hope for a real recovery requires the rule book to be torn up completely.

Website was around long before Libertas. Many of us here are voting Yes, if you feel strongly enough, then post reasons why vote yes. Just becuase some here are at the forefront of a No campaign doesn't make it a 'libertas' website. I doubt a 'Libertas' website would have anything but anti-treaty propeganda.

No its not a libertas website - hell I've gently slagged off Dave in regard to his bias - but a libertas website it is not and I dont know how you could come to such a conclusion.

That is very Juvenile and narrow. There are loads of different topics discussed on this site. When it was down for a few days people miss it and some nearly went into internet rage.
Have look at the support it got when there was a legal threat .So off with ya you can post on other sites.

A champion of the people emerges with the age-old and appealing promise of "something for nothing" - to be financed through every-increasing taxes. Supply and demand are thrown out of gear - the overhead goes up; the effective use of human energy goes down; the standard of living is lowered because money cannot buy wealth that is not produced.

Why are people so upset about even allowing alternative viewpoints. I notice letters to the Irish Times giving out about a free newspaper called Alive (if you don't like it leave it after you). And you would think Libertas were up to something sinister and not just running a perfectly legitimate campaign.

Free speech means you have to put up with people having views you abhor. All the newspapers, all the political parties bar one small one, the Unions and the employers are pushing the treaty.

Is that not enough for you?
