Libertas are pretending to lead the no campaign and its not holding water. you have to say that if you cant argue your point then you must not have much of a point to make. I'll be voting no myself and have to say that I'd rather see some real debating not an attempt to limit the debate, Bertie and co will do enough on that front.

Nonsense. SF are opposing the Treaty. If Libertas want to be taken seriously they have to deal with that, and try and explain it. Not pretend like SF don't exist.

I mean, who the hell does Ganley think he is? SF are 100, no, 1000 times more significant, more important and more representative of a sizeable section of the Irish people than Libertas is. But yet Ganley thinks he can act like the President of the United States, deciding who is and who isn't worthy of sitting on a platofrm with him.

    Unbelieveable arrogance. Absolutely unbelieveable.
    Well put.
Ganley doesn't seem to grasp the fact he is a nobody.

    Yes, he's rich.
But money doesn't necessarily convey legitimacy.

And when this referendum passes, will we ever hear from him again?

For those that can stand SF(A small section of the population) then yes of course SF is an acceptable party to listen to on a no vote.

For those that disagree with just about everything SF has done to this country( the vast majority of the population) Libertas will carry much more weight in convincing them of the merits of a no vote. Declan was right not to share a platform with SF in this case.

why is this on the front page??

Who is this Ganley? Is he important? Is he a major public figure? Is he an elected politician?

    Libertas.ie strikes again.

Scroll down the front page - do you detect an, er, bias?

This site is rolling, rolling down the tubes..

That's fair enough, to an extent. Of course Libertas are free to disagree with SF. It's probably best for them and the No campaign that they do.

What is at issue here is the refusal to share a platform with SF, to engage with them at all. That's arrogant posturing. For God's sake, even the DUP deal with the shinners these days. Nobody thinks that they agree with each other, but people understand that serious politics involves engaging with those you disagree with, not pretendning they don't exist.

    Mookie,

    1) We've already had this Libertas.ie/Libertas.org discussion

    2) I assume it was a FG content member that put it on the homepage, it certainly wasn't me.

So Libertas can say who they will and won't share a platform with………..but when Young FG don't invite them to share their platform, they get lambasted from on high by Libertas

Would David Cochrane or John McQuirk like to explain why only Libertas is allowed to say who it will and won't debate with?

Libertas won't debate with SF because of their loony economic policies - and that's fine (apparently).
But Young FG won't debate with Libertas…..because they ARE loonies, and Cochrane et al. create hue and cry.

Can Libertas square that rather odd little circle ?

Criticism of Libertas is a big No-No, apparently

And all valid points and questions go unanswered
