Yes leads no by 2.5 to 1 in TNS/mrbi poll

A new poll by TNS/mrbi shows the yes side has two and a half times the support of the no side.

26% are committed to support the treaty, an increase of 1.

10% are committed to opposing it, a drop of 3.

Nearly two thirds of voters define themselves as don't knows.

I meant to mention: the details will be in tomorrow's Irish Times.

Nice to have some positive news on Lisbon polls. Time for the political parties to get the finger out and start campaigning seriously for a Yes vote.

It is interesting that the No side has gone down, not up.

Hard to know what to make of that. The question I suppose is how were the Nice 1 polls similiarly far out?

Nothing can be read into this poll as 64% are still undecided.

Well, one thing that can be read into it is that the publicity the Treaty has had, and the claims that have been made about it over the last couple of months (since the last poll), have had little or no impact.

B efore you go locking peoples posts by saying that another thread already exists you should check the timings of the posts. You started this thread at 9.15 whereas I had started mine at 9.14 so you should have locked your own thread

I didn't lock any thread. But as people used this one to post to I left a note to that effect on the others. If it had been your thread that people had posted to, I would have left a note here linking to it and asked a mod to lock this one.
