Still toeing the Old Left line. If she got fuzzy on the left-right ideologies and embraced Thatcherite economics like Tony Blair she would probably have got in. Labour's Britain is proof that you can remove yourself from tax-and-spend and Union idiocy and still be very much a Marxist inspired state.She lost because she had nothing diffrent to say on the economy.
Marxists, Feminists and Leftists operate on the basis of "liberating tolerance" - i.e. their ideas should be tolerated, and any opposition should be suppressed.
The UK abandoned socialism after a breif flirtation with it after WWII, if she wanted to embrace centre-right economics she could just vote for Sarco.
The problem is she had NOTHING new to say on the economy, and the French needed a fresh approch.
