    Youth campaign for Lisbon?

I think there is a relevance in this going in the Yoof section.

I was chatting to the YPDs' esteemed and huggable Paddy Carroll about this before Christmas.. with a view to getting on to the other youth wings. Do the members of the "Ys" of other pro-Lisbon political parties see a benefit, as I do, to uniting and campaigning as one group for the Lisbon Treaty?

I'd imagine that Young Fine Gael are going to mount a pretty vigorous campaign, as they did for the Nice Treaty (Mark 2)

I noticed on the Fine Gael press release yesterday that YFG have secured a place on the FG Campaign team for the referendum.

Back in my day, YFG would be completely overlooked when it came to input on such important issues. Shows how things seem to have changed.

I would imagine that YFG, YPDs, OFF and others would be happy to band together. No matter how much they despise each other, this is one thing that they can't afford to let get defeated

Not sure where the Young Greens are on this, some are in favour, some not. I suppose we'll make a decision at the party meeting on whether to support the treaty on the 19th.

Labour Youth hasn't taken a decision on the treaty yet... as far as I know there'll be a conference some time in February
