Libertas launches "No to Lisbon" campaign

Libertas has today launched it's "No to Lisbon" campaign in Dublin.

More information is available from the relaunched Libertas website, which contains an overview of key points that in Libertas's view, should pursuade people to vote no.

The press release, and more, are available on the Libertas homepage.

Ayup. Saw your billboard van this morning opposite the Taoiseach's office. Very nice.

How was that funded may I ask?
Ireland interests are best secured within a more dynamic EU. Vote YES to Lisbon.

Yes, I saw it this morning. Unfortunately, it's not true. Either the 'Institute' doesn't understand the provisions of the Treaty, or they're engaging in a dishonest campaign of scaremongering.

Either way, it doesn't reflect well on the 'Institute' and those who sincerely oppose the Treaty (and also understand it) might to well to keep their distance from this apparent millionaire's hobbyhorse.

So considering Dave's involvement, is politics.ie now gonna become heavily biased to the eurosceptic movement?

Myk, Libertas is seeking to fundraise in order to run the campaign. Existing current funds have come from donations to date.

The Electoral Act is very clear on the limits donations to political groups, parties and third-parties (this is pointed out on the Libertas website), and Libertas is fully complying with all legislation.
