Id walk out the way I came in. Its a safer option for the uninformed.

(BTW Im not saying you are uninformed or ignorant but if you dont know what the treaty is about as in any election, dont vote)
Ireland interests are best secured within a more dynamic EU. Vote YES to Lisbon.

I'm pro-europe and the exspanion to the middle-east. I'm infavour of a single foriegn policy, only if its one I agree on. But just because I'm pro-europe, doesnt mean I'm going to vote for a "pro-europe" treaty. I dont know what it will do, it might make the eu better or worse.
You said the reason you were voting no is because you dont know what the treaty is about. That is voting ignorantly.
Im voting yes because I think so far that it is a good thing for Europe, I dont claim to be an expert on it, but I know a good bit, and will be informing myself more thoroughly on it closer to the time. If I didnt know what the treaty is about, I would not be voting.
It is a good thing for the EU and the faceless politburo that run it. How many empires have to fall before people realise that centralising power into the hands of a few control freaks is not a very smart idea?.
A few controls freaks? Power in the EU is centralised between 27 commissioners, over 700 members of parliament and 27 governments.
That is a lot of people. And thats just for policy under the remit of the EU.
Don't delude yourself. The EU parliament is a joke parliament and it only exists to rubberstamp whatever the 27 unelected commissioners decide.
The great thing about democracy is that it gives every voter a chance to do something stupid.

No thats not an option. If i dont vote, someone else makes the decision for me. What if I dont vote and the treaty is passed and its a terrible idea? Its my job tomake sure europe doesnt get messed up. I'm voting no, the safe vote, unless i find out what the treaty is about.

If you feel that you have to walk back out rather than make a choice, then the logical thing would be to vote No.. i.e. make no change to your current circumstance.

The most logical choice for the "uninformed" is a no vote.. if you don't know what effect an action is likely to cause, do nothing

Thanks ROC. Hence lion or offlience analogy. The treaty could be bad or good, I dont know, and I'm not going to risk it.

well look whats happened to Ireland in the Eurovision since the new states joined the EU.. we've been frozen out. And if that had happened ten years earlier, we'd have had no Riverdance.

If we walk blindly into a deeper, wider Europe, we will have as much influence in the newly expanded EU, as we do at Eurovision's nowadays.

    Remember Riverdance - Vote No!!!

But we know what we got with Riverdance.. here you're being sold a pup.

And anyway, has anyone from the Yes camp produced a better reason for voting Yes, than my Riverdance theory ?

    Well ?

    I think not
