When you have documented Proof of voting fraud come back to us, until then accept the result for better or worse.

    Thats the official line.

But I dont think its acurate.

I have no proof, but I do know immigrants were allowed to vote and many Irish were denied a vote.

In Western Ireland I have listened to Mid West radio every day and the vast majoirty of callers where against the Treaty.

I cant see how the Yes side won by that margin, when I have seen that sort of ratio on the ground.

Nearly 200 votes were spoilt in each count, Why would you spoil a referendum vote?

Im not denying a Yes vote on lies, but I really cant see how the Yes side won by that sort of majority.

It dosent fit right with me and it dosent fit right with vast numbers of people I have spoken to since the result.

I also live in the West, and am not surprised at the Yes majority. It is what I was hearing from most people. Many were voting Yes to ensure continued inward investment.

I would not have been influenced by Radio Midwest callers. As a poster has already pointed out people ringing up complaining about matters tended to claim also that that they were voting No for a plethora of reasons. These call in programmes run into midmorning - most of the yes voters were busy working rather than whinging on the radio.

By the way, B C, you should consider putting the "fada" on the Bí - some people might think you have more interesting things to keep quiet about rather than being a no voter. ,

Suggest you use the ALT GR key beside the space bar to avoid any misunderstandings or perhaps unexpected private messages.

i think you have it there in one - it was the folks in employment that came out and voted Yes.

    thats what happened.

and on Monday they will go back to work, and will never in the lives phone into a radio station.

    Yaay!

After all these weeks of being preached at and fumed over and having my bl***y intelligence insulted, I think this is the first post-Lisbon sign I've seen of the green shoots of a recovering sense of humour on P.ie!
