Lehinan RTE: We never promised jobs

Lehinan interview on RTE this morning in a counting centre. Presenter asked him "Was it he promise of jobs that swung the vote to a Yes". Lenihan "We never promised jobs as a result of a Yes vote"

Pravda Montrose presenter then failed to ask him "But Minister, did many of your posters not say, 'Yes to Jobs' "

Expect the next few months to to be backpedaling by all the main parties that a Lisbon Yes vote had anything to do with job creation.

Why not let this thread be a place where the jobs claims can be archived?

History has a habit of repeating itself and people never seem to learn.

Believing they had negotiated a treaty that guaranteed the rights of their people, perhaps as many as twenty thousand Irish soldiers sailed with Sarsfield to France. The treaty Sarsfield committed to, would not be honoured by the English. With cruel irony they tore it up and replaced it with the Penal Laws, stripping Irish Catholics of their land, persecuting them for their religion and removing every right of citizenship. On this note of dishonour and betrayal began the saga of "The Wild Geese."
Why does Ireland need any more jobs?. There are not enough people to fill the jobs from the last referendum.
