Couple of rhetorical questions then I won't disturb the disturbed again. S.I. has the EU by the nuts. What concessions are being negotiated in return for allowing a treaty that will result in the EU becoming a central government with all countries downgraded to states?
What will the federation language be?
How long after incorporation will Irish be taught as the first language?
If the vote is still no, will they come back again and say "do you really, really mean no?"
As one who occasionally blogs in favour of Britain getting out mainly because we are in deep financial s**t due to the Bliar-Brown eulab disaster governments and implementation of EU regs, and other reasons, with my limited knowledge of Ireland's situation I hesitate to say what is good for us is good for you. From what I've read so far, in the current situation under the Nice treaty, Ireland seems to do ok.
The thing is this vote is about all our futures and to consider it solely from a national perspective is hardly altruistic.
I'm far from being a tory btw, I'm on the telegraph blog site as an irritant. Visit my blog if you wish,
Luck to the no-ers. Now I'll bugger off and leave you good people hopefully in peace..
