Simons was nothing. Remember her famous performance on Vinny B? Best thing Ganley could do is disown her - another performance like that from her and his cred is shot. Also, the press have an extra-special loathing for her.
hold on.. wasnt the NO side successful last time? Caroline Simons made many radio & TV appearances and must be given SOME credit for helping defeat it.
I'll deny it once more - for you. I'm not Caroline. I'm not in Libertas - (do they still exist? It doesent look like it from her site) I am against this treaty and from Dublin, so that brought me into contact with Caroline; i'm sure, like many others on this site. Even after what must have been a fairly humiliating defeat in the Euro elections, she still has not given up trying to help stop this bad deal for Ireland.
I know many on the NO side have found it hard to be on the same side as people who in normal circumstances they would not agree with politically. But I think we recognise that we all (or most of us!) have a political bottom line. Sovereignty and Democracy.
Stop gossiping over pints with other journos. Be positive. Get into it. Get involved. Theres no time to lose.

If anybody ever met Caroline, you would find her intelligent, articulate, funny and passionate in what she believes in. She is also a little fearless and doesn't hesitate to speak out. All this can come across as arrogant, bossy and more than a little scary. She can be a little fanatical about the RCC but that's her opinion and if she can respect others right to have their own view, all should be ok. Now that's the real test for her.
