    2 Athy Town Councillors.

    The suggestion that Labour would run more than 1 candidate from the Athy area is stupid, unless there were 2 Walls running, but again I can't see that.

    The problem for Labour is that they don't really have a viable candidate in the Kildare district.

    they havent anyone north of athy really. Molyneaux might develop into a GE candidate in the future, hes from Newbridge but certainly next time would be too early unless he wants to be a sweeper for Wall

    Who is Molyneaux?

    I think talking about a 2nd Labour guy in Kildare South is a nonsense as they wouldn't have a chance of picking up a seat.

    The 3rd seat is going to either FF or FG. More than likely FG.

    Who will that 1 candidate be?

    Good election strategy I think. They currently have zero seats. They are only likely to win 1 seat. So run 1 candidate.

    @sandar

    I think the website for Amhrán Nua is pretty good. However, if there is going to be a GE in the next few months, shouldn't the potential candidates start working on their public profiles? Amhrán Nua shouldn't be facing the same candidate selection problems as FF or FG do. Since they haven't run before, they can declare their candidates now - even if the election isn't for another 2 years.

    Nick,

    To be perfectly honest at the moment we are in the process of registering the party, until that is formally completed we cant really be declaring actuial candidates.
    I think that we have one or two people who have alreday got comewhat decent profiles in their area as it is, but of course there is much to be done.
    Thanks for the feedback regaridng the site.
