    Andrew McGuinness - free parking

Now I know that John McGuinness TD is selling himself as a political rebel and that the rules don't apply to him. Yet it would seem that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree if these photos are to be believed with young Andrew McGuinness regarding the various parking regulations of Kilkenny to be a mere nuisance.

Starting with the best one, taking up a disabled parking space is very poor show and illegal too, but demonstrating bad parking to take up two spaces takes some doing.

Next we have some standard double yellow lines action.

And yes boys and girls that is a pedestrian crossing he is parked on along with being up on the footpath

And here he is again in a loading bay but at least he's gotten a ticket for this one. Yet aren't they meant to be on the side of local businesses? Surely blocking a loading bay isn't really helping local shops.

If you look really closely you might also note that they aren't even using official license plates. So for all we know he merely the vans on a trial basis and plans to return them as soon as polling closes.

I wouldn't want to have my name on a Range Rover sport. Its associated with developers imo.

His parking habits make me think he should change his motto from 'Putting Kilkenny First' to 'Get the F* our of my way, I'm More Important Than You!'

Surely its the classic FF 'who you know' way of life which will mean the idea of parking fines don't apply to the local TDs son who has done so much for the community afterall.

I suspect on foot of some images I sent to the IT to the campaign watch last week that some folks might reckon I can serve as some means to highlight funny or interesting images. I would say that people should send stuff directly to the IT column campaignwatch@irishtimes.com
