    Meath East electioneering

Has anyone else noticed that FF are not even bothering to drop their own leaflets through the letterboxes? In my area, I opened the door after seeing a leaflet drop through it to see a boy aged about 10 with a batch of them.

I wonder will this be the way FF finds to avoid the bile of the electorate?

As for the leaflet, it was laughable. The FF candidate for the Slane (Boshell) area had claimed credit for just about every development in recent memory...improved policing, a new NS in Stamullen, new College in Laytown etc etc - even a new playground (imaginary).

The new independent candidate (Carey - a local) and the Labour Counsellor (Holmes) have been doing the rounds and pressing the flesh.

Nothing yet from SF (expect they will get round to it) and FG (have never been seen in these parts).

It IS unthinkable that FF could not get any from 6 isn't it?

    If there's any justice........

Are you sure he wasn't the candidate?
Every one sees what you appear to be, few really know what you are, and those few dare not oppose themselves to the opinion of the many, who have the majesty of the state to defend them.

Any truth in the rumour that FF will not be doing door to door canvassing this time out (I imagine that foot soldiers would need danger money...) and also that some candidates are undecided about putting up election posters?
