Forgot to grab a copy of todays Offaly Independent.

I can't speak for the other former members of Fianna Fail who have choosen to run as Independents. But for myself, If I do manage to take a seat, I will evaluate everything on its merits. If in my mind I believe it will be good for the county as a whole or my electoral area, I will be for it. If I think it will have adverse effects I will be against it.

Anyone who knows me personally or from posting here will know that I take definitions very seriously. If I am elected as an Independent I will think and act Independently.

As you will see by Stephen's latest answer, the answer is yes.

If that's what you see above, then you should have gone to spec savers!

just over a day to go, anyone care to make a stab at outcome in Tullamore county council vote?

I think Feery might make the cut, and there might be a dogfight between an FFer and Labour for last seat

And if you cannot read between the lines of a load of FF waffle, even when it is coming from yourself, then it is no wonder that you have to run as an independent.

Edit: I forgot to mention, it is not as if you dont have a record of being deceitful now Stephen, is it. This site is a testament to that.

Any thoughts on the Tullamore LEA results.

I felt sorry for Killeavy, just missed out by 34 transfers on his first time out. A very credible performance by the young man.

Strong performance, and town seat assured.

Although 3 FF seats, (a gain of one) and Barry Cowen topping the poll with over 1600 votes is more than a credible performance too.

I have to hand it to you Quiet Man. Everything I was hearing up to election day, and I was in Clara last week, was saying that Barry was in trouble. But you called it right all along, he cruised it. Fair play.

Credit to FF, not only did they get their vote out, but they showed yet again that they know how to manage the vote.
