I have to agree with M Moloney on some of these comments. They are infantile.

Interesting points.Just a small correction. Stanley in Portlaoise has a running mate in the town council area, Alan Hand. Proper vote management fo the shinners there will see him in with a good chance. I have made this point already that this is one reason that will see o Brien not do very well in the town council area.
Im not sure about there resources but i have said before that Sinn Fein in Laois have been to insular in their thinking and lacking in confidence. They may perform well in June but still only return 1 candidate. They have to take risks and think outside of that conservative box. if they are to make significamt gains.
The circumstances at present could not be better for them.
In relation to Deegan he may well top the poll, but who in Port has the ability to take votes right around the rest of the Emo electoral area? this may well decide the faith of the port based candiddate. I heard someone in the council say privately that mullins would take around 700 first preferences. Who else Port based would match this ?
Before I get shot down, please dont shoot the messenger. This came from someone who knows the area and its politics well. And its only a prediction
I see in todays Nationalist that Moloney is spewing out another idiotic anti-Republican rant. If this is the best this failed FFer has to offer then God help us all! These infantile letters demonstrate how narrow minded and limited he really is. He must be jealous of the Stanleys track record and work ethic in Portlaoise, something Moloney could only dream about. Let him stick to the relevant issues and try and contribute something constructive to the thread for a change, instead of his laughable garbage - if he's capable of that.
Let him take on Stanley in the Portlaoise elections if he has the courage. The reason Moloney hasn't declared his own intentions yet is a sign of his insecurity and total lack of confidence in being elected at all.
This is the type of individual that Laois politics can well do without.
Who is this Laurie to whom you are addressing your comments. I know only one Laurie in these parts, and whilst she has a great sense of humour, I doubt that she would appreciate her name being bandied about in this fashion. Legal Eagles connected to me reckon that this could be actionable.
Grace Halford was Editor of the Laois Voice. She left it in a healthy state in order to pursue free-lance journalism in the wider arena of the national media. An excellent career move to my mind. She maintains her base in Portarlington from where she also operates her PR company. Why the animosity?
Lottie, Lottie, Lottie.
I'm very surprised at the above comments regarding that "actionable" threat you made.
I would have thought ,that such a person as yourself who professes to be "highly intelligent and extremely well educated" and all the research you claimed to have carried out on your hero Halford, that nothing "actionable" has transpired by mentioning the christian name of anyone.
But we should make allowances for a politrical novice, I suppose.
I believe my post on Stephen O'Leary was quite valid.
I don't see the point in using up yards of space on a second thread with Swingdoor. When both of us have entrenched views that won't change!
While not from Laois, I do know some of the personalities involved. Hence I surely have something to add to the debate despite the monopoly the two of you seem to hold here on posts!
