Can you enlighten me regarding 'informative and useful debate' ? So far I have encountered none on this site. It seems to consist entirely of bitter rants. Any contribution of worth is immediately shot down in an arbitrary fashion. Kimble is a breath of fresh air. He comes across as angry, but not bitter and twisted.

How come the leinster newspaper is a FF mouth piece the nonsense on sending irish people abroad by the FF eastern european candidate was just bizzare, FF are cutting home nurseing services in the laois/offaly area and this twit wants to send them to eastern europe.

my toughts excactly mmrebel, her piority should be to help fix the state of the health service in this country, not been an ambassator for her own countrys tourism board.

We got a knock on the door from Talitha Horan FF in MMellick the other evening....she was going around on her own - couldn't believe it.

Although, to put it mildly, she wouldn't be my favourite candidate and won't be getting my vote - respect to her for canvassing on her own. I didn't envy her that job...so I wished her the best of luck.

has anybody heard to a man called GER C O'NIELL from mountmellick, he had an artical in the nationalist yesterday looking to drum up support for a new family support group. IS he connected to any party???His running or supporting a candidate in the local elections???

I agree. What a damming indictment of FF health policy when one of their candidates is advocating going from Ireland to Eastern Europe for treatment.

This must be geared totally towards the non national vote in portlaoise.

FF must be desperate if they are allowing this type of thing to be published in their name.
And the Leinster has been their mouthpiece for some time now.

Thats a fairly accurate picture at this stage.

Alot of reports from all parties that alot of people not engaging at all on the doorsteps.

Just totally fed up with all politics. No matter who you represent. That sad really.

I think FF have done more than damage our economy this time. Im not hopefull of a high turnout in Laois.I keep telling people that this will benefit only FF and by staying at home you are condoning what has been done. Im also spending more time on the emmigration threads!! ( some of you will be happy to hear ) It might be time to leave soon enough.

I know two Ger O' Neills but don't suspect it's either of them to be honest! Don't have the nationalist at hand but I'll be sure to look it up when I get hold of it.

has anybody seen Denis O'Meara, Adam Goode, or Mark Connolly out and about in Mountmellick? The FF canvass seems to be confined to P Bracken, young Dunnne and Ms Horan.

Will "Tidy Towns" Lodge get his vote cut or will it hold up? Mary Sweeney seems to be running a very well organised campaign. Will FF look after CatherineFitzgerald?? Whats the word on the street?
