Nobody condemned this, why?
The crowd who held the parade in Port on Easter Monday have no connection to Sinn Fein who Mullins is standing for. As a matter of fact the Easter Monday groups associates have threatened the lives of Adams and McGuinness who called them traitors. Do you not read the papers or listen to the news Lottie?
If Sinn Fein are good enough to share power in the North with the Unionists why are they not good enough down here?
I think the problem with you is that Fine Gael now see S.F. as a genuine threat to them in the polls. The TRUE aim of a democracy is to elect those candidates who will provide the best representation to the electorate and we should all try to get away from the FF and FG principles of voting for party before country. That's what got us into this mess in the first place!

Can we move back on to the topic of the local elections.

Lottie there are loads of SF bashing threads on this forum and you will find plenty of support on them. ( there all fans of the large print tabloids like yourself!!)

There is only 6 weeks to go so it would be great if we stuck to election stuff!!!

Remember you can start up other threads if you feel there is something worthy to discuss but that does not fit in here.

Kimble you are a legend...but one thing im a little surprised at is that you are not going to be voting in the Emo electrol area ...I thought you wanted James Deegan out like and the only way you can do that is to vote for some one new..you never no if a new man ot elected he might be able to source a house back in your hometown of Stradbally...O someone asked who the 4th seat was in Emo and that would be John Turley who stepped in for his brother Micheal (RIP) and one would probaly not know him cause all he did was collected his cheque from the council..
So any ways the line up in Emo is:
Fine Geal:James Deegan Winfred Cox and Tom Mullhall(who was in hospital not well)
Finnia Fail Ray Cribbin Micheal Murphy and Paschal McEvoy
Labour: Lawler(sorry cant think of this womens name but know it)
Independents:Francis Emererson,Tom Cushen and Paul Mitchell
    Sinn Fein Aiden Mullins
There will be a cat fight on in Port with so many canidates runing so who would kimble like to see elected ??or who is going to do well??Or who is going to be in trouble??

Lottie does not understand the concept of democracy let alone would she accept its outcome. When halford was not nominated by a democratic decision she could not accept it and through the rattler out of the pram.

An interesting scenario after the elections would be if SF elect Stanley and Mullins to the county council. If FG return 11 councillors which is possible would they form an alliance with the two SF reps to have a majority at council level? With possibly Jacob supporting them as well? SF with two county councillors could be in a very strong position in relation to the horse trading which will decide who controls the council for the next 5 years.

I know moloney is already thinking along these lines for his own selfish means. But thats politics eh!!

SF and FG forming an alliance at council level. Its already happening to a point all be it with a larger technical group. Lottie i hope your not choking on your scone at the thought of this!!!

And please remind me of the point that you are actually making here?

I take it your against the policing of the litter problem in Laois and/or the new parking regulations?

Or is it just a bit of good old SF bashing!! You know there are plenty of other threads for this!!!

More interesting stuff Kimble. What conncections have the real IRA within SF?

Does that mean SF members are threating their own leaders?

Will you start another thread up on this?

For a while I was giving you the benefit of the doubt Kimble but now it's clear that you've totally lost the plot!
