€5000 reward for info on Carlow Kilkenny FG poll

FG failed to take to seats in Carlow-Kilkenny because the party's own poll was completed corrupted, then this corrupted poll was leaked extensively and intensively to the local media.

The people who did this cost the party a seat in the Dail.

NOW I want to bring them before the FG's own internal disciplinary proceedings. To that end I am offering a reward of up to €5000 for information that will get an expulsion ( or sanction) for this betrayal.

If you helped in the poll, worked on it or were aware of its corruption/leaking this is your chance to help punish the guilty AND earn some cash.

Details of solicitors involved will be posted here in the next week- it will be out of ROI.

    Are you serious about this?

5k will loosen some lips, but does FG really want to investigate this, they might find some things they would wish not to find.

As some who worked on a non FG campaign in Carlow Kilkenny, I too though the poll was unusual and ran aginst the run of play.

I my personal view the poll did damage to John Pauls campaign and yes certanily did not help his chances.

    Fair play to you

    Wow

This is just like how the tribunals started - except in those days it was ads in the paper not posts on p.ie.

Another sign for DC that p.ie is as important as mainstream media.

In what way was the poll corrupted and why do you feel it influenced the outcome?

The offer of a €5000 reward will more than likely bring about even more corruption and "betrayal"....... so fire away, nothing I enjoy more than seeing blueshirts at each other's throats.

Local polls are by their nature mathematically questionable. If it was wrong, then it was no different to what happened to polls done by all parties and by many newspapers and broadcasters. This is a non-story. Get over it.

AN outrageous post. The poster should be banned from this site immediately. There is absolutely no evidence that if a poll was wrong (and a lot of them are) it was in any way anything more than a statistical inaccuracy. To suggest that there should be disciplinary action against people who took a poll that produced the wrong results is ridiculous in the extreme.

Frankly, the person who posted this rubbish here is more likely to face disciplinary action than anyone involved in doing a poll.

Insider that you appear to be excusing falsified poll-results reflects badly on your failed party and undermines its credibility. Tut tut.

Anyone who knows about local polls knows that they have a high margin of error. That is what happens when you have a poll with a small sample size. Come to think of it: a PD poll had McDowell on 18% in the election. Oh dear. FT.
