    Kildare 2002 Electoral Support Maps

I've included some Electoral Support Maps below from my TallyMaster System. I'm considering making this available commercially on a nationwide basis though I'm not too sure if it's worth the bother... Anyway all I've included is Party Support figures - it can also do candidates, Highest Party/Candidate per DED, swings, Town Maps, etc. I might post some more next week... First one is Fianna Fail Support in 2002...

As you can see, FF's main bedrock of support was in the rural north-west of the county...

    Fine Gael Support, Kildare 2002

Fine Gael support was highest in its traditional heartland in the foothills of the wicklow mountains along the eastern border of the county and also in the rural Northwest....

    Labour Support, Kildare 2002

Labour Support was concentrated in the mainly urban Leixlip and Celbridge Electoral Areas in the North-East and, in the south, Athy and its hinterlands... They didn't perform as well as they usually do in traditional Labour-supporting villages such as Coill Dubh and Suncroft, although they did secure a good vote in the Rathangan area...

Casualbets are these related to polling stations or what? Where do you get these maps?
In fact where do you get lists of box numbers and corresponding areas?

    Thanks,

    Green Party Support, Kildare 2002

As can be seen, The Greens did better in North Kildare with a paper candidate than they did in the South with an active candidate...

Lists of Box numbers (and the DEDs they correspond to) are available from the returning officer's office.

A map of the County's DEDs is available from the County Council

And obviously tallies are available from Election Counts...

Obviously, I'm referring to Kildare, but I'm sure you can obtain the necessary in a similar fashion in other counties...
