If It was an attempt at intimidation, then it clearly was not mindless."Whoever was responsible for this mindless act of vandalism, drove to my home with the express intention of abandoning a car, burning it and blocking my gateway. I believe this was a blatant attempt at intimidation in the run-up to the general election. In a decent democracy the last thing we need is thuggery and anti social behaviour.
I would however tend towards the view of parish pump, that it was a co-incidence.

Mary's house has been targetted before, so it's unlikely that this is just a coincidence.
Notes: Cllr White's home was targeted by vandals last February. In what Cllr White believed to be a calculated attempt at intimidation, thugs set alight a gas cylinder collared in a pile of burning tyres beside her house. She believed that this attack was related to her strong condemnation of dumping, littering and the burying and burning of waste in Carlow, as well as other anti-social issues.
Sure she's delighted with it I'd say. She got a good 20 minutes of airtime off Sue Nunn this morning and you can be sure that she contacted the rest of the press. No doubt there will be pictures in the papers of a distressed looking Mary White saying how anti-scial behaviour could be cured if we all recycled more etc etc bla bla bla.

The Green chap in Cork SC was also attacked by anti-social elements as was an FF Cllr in Clare and SF activists over the years. No-coincidence at all.

Are you saying SF activists attacked Green party members?
The fact is there is no evidenc even that it was anything more than a co-incidence. To claim otherwise is iresponsible.I believe she lives in a remote area near Carlow.These are usually the places joyreiders dump and burn out cars.
