    Carlow Kilkenny poll

    The poll.

A true poll are only polls. There is no way FF will lose 12 points in the election. This is the 5th poll in the last 18 months all giving different results.

With this result the break down would be 2 FF 1 FG 1Lab, 1GP.

This is not going to happen.

The results on the day will be very different. From knocking on doors in Kilkenny, anyone calling the last two seats in this election are mere hot air.

    Poll 2007 Actual 2002

    FF 38 50 (-12)

    FG 26 21 (+5)

    Lab 18 13.13 (+5)

    GP 14 8 (+6)

    PD 4 0 (+4)

    SF 3 3 (+0)

    % as follows

    Aylward FF 17

    White GP 14

    McGuinnessFF 12.5

    Hogan FG 11.5

    Brown FG 9

    Townsend LP 9

    O’Brien LP 9

    Nolan LP 8.5

    Phelan FG 5.5

    Lacey PD 4

    Function SF 3

Then why start the thread? This could mean anything. Neol Grealish won on 5%. This tells us nothing.

    Whose poll is that?

Yes but he wouldn't have got it but for 2 other PD candidates transferring to him. It's not comparable for Lacey.

It was locked because you put it in the Leinster section, instead of in the Carlow Kilkenny section.

And now I see that this one is in the Leinster section too.

Where's the Bear when you need her?

Meanwhile, what is the provenance of this poll? What is the methodology? What was the sample? Who commissioned it?

Phelan on 5.5% is not credible. I know dyed in the wool FFailures in KK who are voting for Phelan this time out. Aylward on 17% is not credible: He might get that in the Glenmore and Mullinavat boxes, but not anywhere else.
