Senior FFer to defect to Labour?

Heard a story today that a senior FFer is ready to jump ship. Do any of ye know if this is true? Would such a move be welcome ?

Think about it, it would the the perfect thing for an FFer to do to save his political skin.

It isn't really - they would end up slaughtered by the media because it is too late for that sort of thing. The question would arise as to why they supported all the policies that caused the mess and a clear accusation of their trying to save their political skin would be pointed in their direction by the media as well as all political parties which would bring about their political downfall.

That would be the end of Labour in CNC if he was accepted.

I don't believe this, there is no benefit in a "senior" FF doing it now just before an election. First, (s)he is not running, second, it would destroy ff. But, like I said before in another thread. FG and Lab should be looking at trying to woo some untainted FFers to their side. We have to be savage with them.
