Do not transfer to FF or the Greens: Gilmore

Eamonn Gilmore has stated this morning at the launch of the Labour Party's election campaign that its voters/supporters should not transfer their votes to either FF or Green Party candidates.

Next step for Gilmore is to say "Vote for either Labour or Fine Gael so we can eradicate the other parties"

Does this mean Sinn Fein could expect a slighlty better transfer ratio than in previous elections?

This could be very damaging (ie. hilarious) for the Greens.

I would say that 50-60% of their 29 Town and County Cllrs. relied heavily on Labour transfers to get elected.

Mind you he hardly needs to state the obvious.

With FF candidates likely to be eliminated early, there should be a transfer bonanza for the Greens.

I didn't understand their deceptively dastardly election strategy of feeding off the carcass of FF until recently.

    Clever chaps.

How far up your hole did you have to go to get that particular statistic?

Pat Rabbitte's version was shorter and smarter. GTBO.
