    Genuine gesture or ?????

Press releases » Media centre » The Labour Party

Susie Long to recieve the James Larkin "Thirst for justice" award postumously at the conference on Sat, her husband will recieve the award on her behalf.

I really hope this is just a genuine honour for a very brave woman and her equally brave and resilient hubby!

Time will tell whether we remember Susie!

But I think that the fact that she died in the middle of the biggest economic boom we have ever seen because of the lack of additional privately paid for health insurance may come back to bite us yet!

Is she remembered now? Her death was supposed to be a watershed...but we've had many in this country, and quite a few since she needlessly passed away.

More cynical grandstanding by the Labour Party.

It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.

There is a little bit of politicking involved it has to be said.

She was a great woman and vote Labour.

Labour don't own her, they don't even own Jim Larkin.
