How many seats will Labour win in 2016?

With the latest Red C poll showing they have not received the expected post-budget boost and some commentators suggesting they may return as few as two, how many seats can Labour realistically expect to win in 2016?

Personally I think the following all have a good chance of re-election, even on a bad day for the party

    Sean Sherlock (Cork East)
    Joanna Tuffy (Dublin Mid-West)
    Brendan Ryan (Dublin Fingal)
    Eric Byrne (Dublin South-Central)
    Joan Burton (Dublin West)
    Emmet Stagg (Kildare North)
    Willie Penrose (Longford-Westmeath)
    Ged Nash (Louth)
    Brendan Howlin (Wexford)

That would give them a total of nine.

    Opinions??

Less than five, I think you're off line with Tuffy, Burton and Ryan for starters.

On the current polling figures, 2 or less. How many of them will chose the rat run and grab their pensions rather than stand for reelection?

No more than 3 and I don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility that they may not get any elected.

As the day draws near and they look at their own private polls most perhaps, the rest will be the bewildered and deluded.

Sean Sherlock is a god in Midleton, not sure about Cobh and Youghal. It'll be tight but I think he'll get back in. He's not the worst but the Labour name is toxic now.

Eric Byrne could be in serious danger of losing his DSC seat.
