Labour and Sinn Fein working together,as a left alliance?

I ve heard rumours of this.
In the Seanad, they are already in an alliance! Not that I know much about the Seanad.

If this is the situation throughout the entire party, does this mean Labour is moving more Left again?

It couldn't be more damaging than the Fine Gael alliance,Could it?

In my opinion,it would help Sinn Fein win support from different people, but many labour people are still in the dark days over Sinn Fein.

Is this true about this "alliance" and is good??

Excellent idea for Labour to move leftwards and work WITH Sinn Féin for those on lower incomes and to reduce inequality and poverty in IReland today. Much needed agenda in a capitalist IReland..

I don't think the entire Labour party would support such an alliance... nor would they in SF either, thinking about it. Any such working together by the two is good in my books anyway.

I imagine this has been covered before, but just how genuinely left are Sinn Fein? You might ask the same of Labour mind you.

Whatever Sinn Féin or Labour do, Fianna Fáil still holds all the aces in the organisational game. They arrested SF's rise and Labour moved sideways. Until the smaller parties can up their electoral game, Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael will keep soaking up the seats in a 2:1 ratio.

They(FF&FG) have got their demographics sorted, with plenty of young, hungry 20-30 something TDs after this year's election. Labour are mostly over the hill and Sinn Fein has fallen by 20% in the Dáil with no new faces, its pretty tough for both organisations looking into the future.

Greater cooperation on the left might make it come across as a more viable way to go for those who're not FF/FG diehards (I'd imagine there's plenty... they just need to be convinced)

Well there's that, or they could try figuring out who's a bigger counter-intuitive looney & be back home in time for tea and biscuits.
