    Labour leadership latest runners and declarations

    The following are the declared runners / non runners at this stage:

    Tommy Broughan TD - non runner
    Dublin North East

    [color=red]Joan Burton TD - running for deputy leader
    Dublin West[/color]

    Joe Costello TD - undeclared
    Dublin Central
    [color=blue]
    Eamon Gilmore TD - running for leader
    Dún Laoghaire[/color]

    Michael D Higgins TD - non runner
    Galway West

    Brendan Howlin TD - non runner
    Wexford

    Ciarán Lynch TD - non runner
    Cork South Central

    Kathleen Lynch TD - non runner
    Cork North Central

    Liz McManus TD - non runner backing Gilmore & O'Sullivan
    Wicklow

    Brian O'Shea TD - non runner backing Burton for deputy leader
    Waterford

    Jan O'Sullivan TD - running for deputy leader

    There are several threads on this but this is just to mark who actually has declared and of those that are non runners if they are backing anyone.

    If there are errors in the above i will edit accordingly as obviously most of the undeclared will be non runners but i'm not sure if they have announced their intentions yet.

    I beleve Michael Twee has also ruled himself out.
    The Mahon Tribunal found Olivia Mitchell to have received an inappropriate payment from Frank Dunlop at the time of the 1992 Election. F.G. Gael has taken no action against her.

    Both Seán Sherlock and Kathleen Lynch have ruled themselves out in the Evening Echo.

    Now that Broughan is out, Gilmore is unlikely to be challenged.

    Sen. Michael McCarthy is also backing Burton for deputy leader.

    Liquidate labour, liquidate stocks, liquidate the farmers, liquidate real estate.

    this is fairly pathetic out of the labour party a contest would do them the world of good, there were 4 candidates the last time !!
