The real reason for standing outside the church gates is to proselytise (I hate having to repeat myself). There's a motion in from the Kilbarrack branch to include desecration of the host in the list of church-gate activities. It will probably be defeated by the rural rump though.

At one point yesterday the motion was going to be withdrawn but was later put back in. There has been some to-ing and fro-ing between Labour HQ and several branches on it. The motions will go out next week and several branches will be proposing amendments to the Clontarf branch motion.
