    Are Labour merely FG mudflaps?

It seems that all the dreadful stuff is being heralded by Labour. Howlin, Rabbitte, Quinn to the forefront. Reilly is making a hash of Angola yet people are incensed with Labour inspired nonsense. Will this farce of a government last the duration and afterwards will there be a Labour Party?

Is there any evidence that labour are in power?
Aside from not cutting the headline social welfare rates, raising the minimum wage and Ruari Quinn deleveraging a few schools from the catholic church while allowing them to practice discrimination, what have Labour achieved in Government?

With the amount of stealth taxes in the budget as opposed to cuts (far closer to Labour's 1:1 ratio than FG's 3:1 for cuts vs tax), plus the fact that there is no question of the CPA being touched (as confirmed to me the other night by a FG TD), I would have thought it was fairly obvious that Labour have an awful lot of influence in the Government, far too much in my opinion.

The country would have been far better off in the long run if FG were in on their own.

It is the leadership of Labour that is the issue. The likes of Rabbitte, Gilmore etc have a track record of destroying political parties, why should they now care for the Labour party. We are dealing with the worse type of careerist politicians who have now reached their goal of Minister and will reap the rewards e.g big salaries and pensions. The Labour leadership will shed no tears when the Irish Labours party becomes another Democratic left/Workers party/Official Sinn Fein.

Agree largely with the "Careerist" ideals of the leadership.
Costello, Rabitte, Gilmore. I swear they must be related.

The only reassuring factor is, the fools think they're safe for the next election.
